Cookies & Analytics
Last updated: June 2026
This page explains how we measure usage of 380 Football (also styled 38-0 / 38-0 Football Sim) — both the app and the website at 380football.com. In short: we use privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics and set no tracking cookies. The app and the multiplayer service set no cookies at all.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. They can remember information between page views and visits. Some are essential to a site working; others are used to track or measure how a site is used. We do not use tracking cookies.
How we measure usage (PostHog, cookieless)
From version 2.0, both the app and the website use PostHog, an analytics tool hosted in the European Union, to understand which features and pages are useful. We run it in a privacy-first configuration:
- No cookies. On the website PostHog is configured to use your browser’s
localStorageinstead of cookies; in the app it uses local app storage. The only thing stored is a random, anonymous id — never your name, email, the multiplayer player ID or any advertising identifier (no IDFA). - Anonymous. We never identify you. There is no profile, and no cross-site or advertising tracking.
- No session recording. We do not record your screen, mouse movements or keystrokes.
- EU-hosted. Analytics data is processed on PostHog’s EU cloud.
We use the resulting reports only to understand usage in aggregate, and we do not sell this data. For how PostHog processes data, see PostHog’s Privacy Policy, and the Privacy Policy for the full picture of what the app stores.
What we do not use
We set no advertising cookies, no cross-site tracking pixels and no social-media cookies, anywhere. The multiplayer service (leagues and leaderboards) sets no cookies and keeps no request logs — see the Privacy Policy for exactly what it stores.
How to opt out
- On the website, browse in your browser’s “private” / “incognito” mode, which discards
localStoragewhen you close the window. - Clear site data for 380football.com in your browser settings to remove the anonymous id.
- A tracker-blocking extension (or a browser with built-in tracking protection) will also stop these analytics requests.
- In the app, analytics is anonymous and not linked to your identity.
Opting out does not affect how anything works — the site and app are fully usable without analytics.
Changes
If how we measure usage ever changes, the updated version will be posted on this page.
